Drunk Hulk started on Twitter in October 2009 and has since become an internet sensation with over 180,000 followers. Drunk Hulk has been regularly namedropped in various publications like Time (one of the “Top 10 Satire Twitter Feeds”), Rolling Stone, Huffington Post (One of “The 7 Funniest Non-Human Twitter Users Right Now”), NPR, Fox News (One of “20 Must-Follow Twitter Accounts”), TV.com (one of “5 Twitter Feeds that Deserve TV Shows”), BuzzFeed, MTV and more.
The response to Drunk Hulk has been overwhelming. In this day and age of uncertainty, there’s something about the directness and absurdity of Drunk Hulk that resonates so positively with readers. Whether he’s writing about books (“ANNE FRANK DIARY TOO SEXPLICIT FOR SCHOOL! DRUNK HULK THINK THEY GIVE DIARY OF ANAIS NIN BY MISTAKE!) or TV shows (“DRUNK HULK THINK TED NO EVER TELL KID HOW HE MET MOTHER! JUST LIKE CLARISSA NO EVER EXPLAIN ALL!) or politics (“PALIN TAKE BOOKFACE TOO SERIOUS! IF ELECT! SHE VOW TO END MAFIA WAR! AND GIVE FEDERAL MONEY TO FOLK IN FARMVILLE!”), Drunk Hulk is consistently the one of the most retweeted satirical Twitter accounts. And while he has gone on to inspire several other Hulk accounts on Twitter, Drunk Hulk continues to be the most successful.
