Checking in.

While I’m waiting for the repair man to come and fix the washing machine and taking care of our sick dog Dudikoff, I’m working on the updates for the site, including tomorrow’s continuation of the “Counting Nuns” comic, as adapted by Edward J. Grug III, as well as next week’s (hopefully) commentary for “The Fifth Ocean”. As you can see, I also started a new weekly segment where I can focus on some of the short stories that I love, starting with “Bartleby the Scrivener” by Herman Melville.

For those just tuning in, my name is Christian A. Dumais. I’m the writer of the short story collection Empty Rooms Lonely Countries. I’m trying to sell 1,000 copies of the book by the end of this year, and in doing so, give away $1000 to one of my readers. You can find me on MySpace, Good Reads and LiveJournal. You can read interviews with me here and here. And you can learn more about me here.

Have a great day.
