Happy First Birthday, Wonder Twins! 1

A year ago I met two of the smallest people I’ve ever met. They were too early and too tiny, but the hospital insisted we take them home with us. And so my wife and I pretended to know what we were doing. We dressed them. We fed them. We protected them from witches, dingoes and David Bowie.

And today our babies Elliot Norman and Emily Rose are one year old. We have given them everything we can, and in exchange they provide us with laughter, love, and constant surprises.

Happy Birthday, Wonder Twins.

Take it easy, you two. There’s no rush.

Here is what I wrote a year ago when I first met them.
