Glenray Tutor

1 March 2010 No Comment

I wish I could explain what it is about Glenray Tutor’s work that I love so much. Going through his work, I find myself gravitating to prints with comic book pages included. And though there’s a retro feel to the work that’s before my time, I can’t help but see something familiar, something from my own childhood.

Tutor’s work brings to mind the smell of fresh cut grass, air conditioned Saturday afternoons that felt like giant rooms full of treasures, and the feeling of the carpet against my elbows as I turned the page of my favorite comic books.
