A+ Empty Rooms Lonely Countries Review

22 July 2010 No Comment

Just when you think you’ve heard the last of my first book Empty Rooms Lonely Countries, Lisa Scherer comes through with some reviews of the short story collection that are so positive, she needs two websites to express herself. It’s a double rainbow of generosity.

Over at Crazed Fanboy, she writes:

Despite the melancholy, there are moments of sagacity and wisdom like I’ve rarely seen before. Empty Rooms Lonely Countries is easily one of my top ten favorite books of all time.

And then over at Tampa Book Buzz, she writes:

I absolutely loved this book. Empty Rooms Lonely Countries is bittersweet and touching, with some really funny bits here and there. There are moments of sagacity and wisdom like I’ve rarely seen before, but it’s oh so sad – heartbreakingly, hauntingly, beautifully so.

She has quite a bit more to say and I’m thrilled that she enjoyed the book as much as she did.
