I met Joe Davison about fifteen years ago when we were working on a comedy sketch show. I was a writer – and regrettably, sometimes actor – and he was one of the main actors. Writing for Joe was a lot of fun because it basically amounted to how much humiliation and embarrassment can I make Joe do today, and he was pretty much willing to do anything for a good laugh. We had a lot of fun making the show. Even when the production turned bad and I had to walk away due to the old “creative differences”, Joe was always there to make me laugh.

We both have come a long way since those days. Joe in particular has gone on to star and write quite a few movies over the years, each one getting better and better.  He recently finished starring, writing and directing his movie Experiment 7.

As described at the official Experiment 7 website:

Dr. Felix Copper is a doctor of Biological Sciences and is on a quest to find a solution to purifying radiation from water in the year 2022, ten years after the fall of humankind. He has to travel to the far outreaches of every city known, trying to make his way to the coveted underground lab, if the Mutants don’t get him first. Along the way he meets some unwarranted friends, Sam and William, two off the cuff heroes who cause more problems than they fix, and Aco, a super-model turned weapons expert. Together, Dr. Copper just might survive long enough to find a cure.

It looks like a fun little movie. Check out the trailer below.

“I absolutely loved this book. EMPTY ROOMS LONELY COUNTRIES is bittersweet and touching, with some really funny bits . . . There are moments of sagacity and wisdom like I’ve rarely seen before, but it’s oh so sad – heartbreakingly, hauntingly, beautifully so . . . easily one of the my top ten favorite books of all time.” - TAMPA BOOK BUZZ
